Custom Method Saves Development Time, Increases Speed to Market

Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE: A) and Lime Microsystems today announced a custom pairing of test equipment, transceiver technology and control software that constitutes a new method for testing and evaluating advanced wireless systems. Lime Microsystems collaborates with Percello to develop a high-performance reference platform for femtocells

18 January 2010, Guildford, UK: Lime Microsystems, the multi-band multi-standard RF transceiver IC company, announced that it is collaborating with Percello Ltd., an Israeli fabless semiconductor company developing highly integrated and low-cost digital baseband for UMTS and LTE networks, to develop a flexible high-performance reference platform for femtocell designs. The reference platform combines Percello's PRC6xxx high-performance baseband IC, with Lime's multi-band, multi-standard RF transceiver IC, the LMS6002. It will be used to develop femtocell designs for high data rate UMTS/HSPA+ air interfaces and will enable faster adoption of femtocells in the existing and emerging markets worldwide.

April 7th 2008, Guildford, UK: Following the successful launch of its 2-4 GHz MicroTCA transceiver platform at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Lime Microsystems has achieved a single chip multi-band multi-standard reconfigurable transceiver IC. The first test chips back from the foundry have been tested and meet the original requirement for a highly frequency agile transceiver IC, operating from 375MHz to 4GHz. Sending and receiving data has been demonstrated successfully in each of the vital frequency bands required for WiMAX, 3G and LTE operation, paving the way for the adoption of Lime’s multi-standard transceiver architecture in small cell base stations.
